Teaching notes for dividing by 2
If the last digit is even, it divides by 2. That single check works on any number, however long. That check tells a child whether a number belongs on this sheet at all, which is a different skill from recalling the quotient. Say the number twice and add. 2 × 7 is 7 + 7. Doubling is the same skill they use to split a snack fairly, so it arrives early and sticks.
How to use this sheet

The picture only comes out right if the facts were answered right, which is the point: a guessed answer shows up as a wrong color instead of disappearing into a page of ticks.
