Clock faces. 5 × 7 is where the 7 sits on a clock, which is 35 minutes. Many children meet the 5s here before they meet them in maths. Watch which regions your child leaves until last: they are almost always the facts that still need counting. Counting by fives. Most children arrive with this already.
