Teaching notes for 10 times table

Money. 10 × 6 is six ten-pence coins, or six dimes. The place-value shift is easier to see with coins than with digits. Watch which regions your child leaves until last: they are almost always the facts that still need counting. Place value to 100. Recognising that a zero shifts the digit is the whole table.

How to use this sheet
